Time
Not much happening around here as we prepare for my birthday vacation in California. We leave on the 1st in the afternoon and will be traveling for almost two weeks. Of course we have a doctor's appointment and a prostate cancer conference at the end of the trip; but it will still be lots of fun. Weather's been a bit hot here lately with promises of rain this weekend. Sharon's anniversary is today. Can't believe she's been married 16 years! Where has the time gone? Soon I'll be 60 and I'm thinking what happened? I still feel young and I guess 60 is still young; but wow!

LMAO - I can't believe my son is going to be 6 and is starting 1st grade on Weds, and here you have a daughter that has been MARRIED 16 years - that is just craziness - where DOES the time go?? 60 is still young - remember it is all in the mind! Mom keeps saying holy shit, I can't believe my sister is going to be 60, lmao. Happy early Birthday just in case we aren't able to get you on Thursday! Have fun! Party like you're 21! Or was 18 the legal drinking age in your day... lmao - I had to get 1 in there... Enjoy CA - Kiss Uncle Owen for me! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo young one, in my day the drinking age was 21. That is for awhile. I was pregnant with Beth and turned 21 in September. Beth was born the following April. Being the saint I am LOL! I didn't drink while pregnant. I patiently waited until after Beth was born. I'm sure you know the excitement of being able to legally drink and go to a bar, so much to my surprise before Beth was born they changed the drinking age to 18! What a bummer - shows my age! All the anticipation of waiting to legally drink was gone. 18 was the legal age in NY when I was 18 and I went there once or twice. Never really enjoyed it; but my girlfriends borrowed my id and went. In those days, no picture; just a physical description. Thanks for the memories!
